The core of POM (polyoxymethylene / acetal) CNC machining is controlling heat and stress: select the right POM-H or POM-C grade, use sharp tooling and a generous chip load so the tool cuts rather than rubs, and combine light workholding, symmetrical material removal, and a two-stage roughing – stress relief – finishing process to produce consistent high-precision parts. Cremage integrates these steps into a standard process route, holding POM flatness within 0.05mm and controlling it precisely to drawing requirements — a capability that non-specialist machine shops rarely match.
